Take home the knowledge that helps you stay beautiful and young forever.
I do not know what am I gonna write but I surely want this feeling to go away as quickly as possible.
I am feeling that no matter how good my intentions are or my intentions of how good others should feel about themselves just doesn’t matter in today’s world. I am constantly trying to stay positive about everything in life but today’s demanding situations and people are enough to make me feel less worthy and full of shit. I know how stupid it is and how these things don’t really matter but money is the scale for success and happiness is just a thing for people which ain’t that important if you have a shit load of money in your pocket.
Your relatives, your friends, and even your life partner will respect you only when you are providing them. The day you stop and started focusing on yourself, you are all alone because dude, you have responsibilities. People who have responsibilities die of heart stroke. Freedom is a state, financial freedom is a necessity, and people who have are the only people who are respected by society. Others are just gonna sucked by the oblivion.
Growing up we all feel that life will get better, just one last exam, just another experience, just another risk, and boom. While running all these years, you forget that living is also a thing which is not meant for everyone. Those luxurious resorts, foreign trips, beautiful mountains, and deep blue sea were meant for you to see in photos and not in real life. But no wonder how you grow, you are bound to get married, to have children, to raise them to feel as miserable as you were, are, and will be, is simply normal. It is how our society works.
Seeking the meaning of life, learning the truth about ourselves, exploring the world, learning new things every day, making failure as important as success is only good for the books because in real life not everyone deserves to be a part of the book, and those who do, don’t belong to the society. People who are famous are being chased by every person on the planet and people who are trying to be famous are being chased and haunted by their own fear and anxiety. Shah Rukh Khan doesn’t care if people love him or hate him, comment good things or bad things about him, but the person who sits next to you might have an ego of sun, and once you say a bad word against him, he might find a dagger and stick it in your gut. That’s how we really are. We aim for the moon but we are not allowed by our own righteousness to be better than what we were yesterday.
The family constantly speaks about society and its remarks on you even before you take your first step but will also constantly poke you to do something in life. Sometimes, being alone and left out seems to be the only solution as then there is no one to judge you or no one to support you. So, if you are not judged you will try whatever you want to do and if you are not supported, you will either pass or fail. If you passed it is good, but if you fail it is definitely better because now you can do something else or try the same thing differently. Growing up was meant to be a process of learning and experiencing but how can one grow or experience in the same pattern of life. If every human is different then why the same track for all of them.
Everything is changing with time but people are still accepting that old method of studying, the same bookish knowledge that is hardly relevant to the outside world. A 3rd class student is as stressed as a regular employee as both of them are achieving targets set by others. We all want something from someone and cry it loud when someone does not fulfill our expectations. We have hardly seen someone fulfilling our wishes in one go. Or hardly we do such miracles on our own. So why do we expect from others when we are not ready to do something like that. Do we own them? Or it’s just your brain wants you to act like that? TBH, nobody owes you anything. But even if someone does something for you, it’s just that they have a big heart. So, do something good for them too instead of taking them for granted.
Life is a million little things but it is mostly evaluated by how much money or real estate you have! So, let it be. No one can change no one. But you can always have that positive energy and happiness to light up your surroundings. Keep pushing yourself and smile till you’re awake.
If you have been trying your best to adapt a healthy diet and move your body more, and everytime it seems overwhelming or frustrating, let me tell you one thing, you are not alone in this.
When transitioning to a healthy lifestyle, it can be a bit difficult and challenging to stay motivated especially when you are expecting overnight results or weight loss. Remember, this isn’t a temporary process, it’s a lifestyle change that requires patience, faith and consistent efforts.
To be honest, for me it really took a long way to adapt to this lifestyle and each day I am learning and trying my best to maintain it.
For every picture that we see on social media platforms, of people exclaiming how easy it is to move their body and how fabulous it feels to adapt a healthy way of eating, the reality lies in their daily practice and constant hard work.
Being healthy isn’t confined only to the number of hours you workout, remember it is a work in, so what you practice the entire day post session, that’s when your true journey begins, that’s when the true transition happens.
Before transitioning to a healthy way of living, I struggled my entire life with obesity and a lot of health issues. Depression, thyroid, were one such results of chronic health problems.
I still remember my entire focus revolved around shedding the weight, expecting some xyz numbers on the weighing scale without even understanding what a healthy lifestyle is. I was on every fad diet imaginable that promised quick results in weight loss without having to go for any kinda workout, yes I did achieve some results, but only for a short term. In the wake of losing weight, I tried it all without understanding the balanced nutrient value that a human body needs or the reason behind why am I eating what I am eating.
And the consequences of these fad diets? Weakness, fatigue, slowing down of metabolism and a lot more. And believe me these diets are not sustainable as the cravings for the food takes over, so one ends up gaining weight again.
The desperate struggle to lose weight became my only focus and I was sick of it all. And that’s when I realised that I need to shift my attention. When you shift your perspective and mindset from “quick results” to “trusting the process” everything changes.
So don’t wait for a miraculous change to happen. Apart from daily workout, change your eating habits too, it might seem difficult at first, but once you get started it’s easy to sustain and you will fall in love with it. The results will come. Trust the process and trust yourself.
Are you following a healthy diet? What challenges did you have in making the switch to a healthy lifestyle? Would love to hear about it. And if you find this post helpful, leave a star rating and share your review, it will help others find my blogs and connect with me. As always, thanks for your support!
Always in our head yet constantly numbing out with food, Netflix and our phones.
But it’s time we break this predictable cycle!
Do you yearn for change?
IT’S TIME YOU GET UP.
IT’S TIME YOU SHOW UP.
There is no next best thing. There is no magic pill
But there is YOU,
To bring that change, all that you will need is YOU
This isn’t about being perfect,
There is no perfect number that your body needs to attain
This is about being realistic.
This is about you naturally gravitating towards nutrient-dense food.
It isn’t about deprivation
It is about finding deep joy from the simple act of eating.
It’s the best feeling when you love the food you eat and having it love you right back
So, are you ready to unapologetically give yourself that space where you experience JOY in eating?
Here’s my favourite breakfast choice. Super versatile, a heart-healthy staple breakfast, oatmeal. I love the taste of plain oatmeal with seeds toppings. It’s my comfort zone. But I also like to unravel the various wonders and secrets of this versatile food. I think of it as a canvas and experiment with different ways of topping the oatmeal. Be it a post-workout recovery or some morning superfood cravings, I find it as a filling way to nourish my body.
What you need to make Oatmeal
INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup milk
Sugar/ honey as per taste
A handful of Chia seeds, pumpkin seeds
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
Fruits (Any seasonal fruit)
A pinch of cardamom
Instructions
1. Take ½ cup quick-cooking oats or rolled oats in a pan.
2 Add ½ cup of water.
3 Then add ½ to 1 cup milk. You can adjust the consistency as per the requirement. Milk gives a slightly thick consistency. For a thinner consistency, you can add water.
4 Add sugar as per taste. I didn’t add sugar. It is completely optional. You can even skip the sugar if you are adding fruits later.
If you are adding honey, then add it once the oatmeal becomes lukewarm or cools down.
5 Stir it very well and heat the oatmeal on a low to medium flame and add a pinch of cardamom
6 The oatmeal will also thicken as it cooks. So cook for 5 to 6 minutes.
7 Add a handful of pumpkin seeds and chia seeds for some extra protein and healthy fats. You can also use roasted seeds mix for a crunchy taste or chopped dry fruits of your choice.
8. You can even add ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract. It is completely optional.
9. Serve oatmeal hot or warm or at room temperature. It will thicken more as it cools. If you are adding chopped fruits, then add it when the oatmeal becomes lukewarm or cooled down completely. You can use any fruit of your choice. I have used papaya.
